Free Courses on Art History, By Art History Link-Up – For schools
Free Courses on Art History, for 13-to-15 year olds. Taught by experts in your school, based on Waddesdon Manor’s collection. By Art History Link-Up (charity no.1172792).
We can be very flexible with scheduling but are keen to start as soon as possible, as we’re already working in the area mid-week. The ideal is 1 hour per week over 6 to 10 sessions. We can offer a taster first lesson on ’The Wedding Cake’, a 12 foot immersive sculpture at Waddesdon Manor, see teaching slide below, to assess interest.
Timings can be flexible. Ideally a lunchtime or afterschool club, or whenever an opportunity presents itself.
We are currently running free introduction to art history courses for 13-to-15-year-olds with Waddesdon Manor, funded by the Rothschild Foundation. These courses are delivered by expert teachers in schools looking at art and identity through the collection at Waddesdon, with the aim of eventually gaining an accredited award.
