CPD Session Leader/s: Freyja Winterson – Artis Specialist
My Artis name is RICOCHET, because thinking and acting creatively leads to unexpected and exciting answers and solutions. I studied Politics and Philosophy at the University of York before deciding to be a theatre director and youth arts leader. I have trained whilst working in large regional theatres as well as through the Young Vic Directors Programme and the Merseyside Youth Theatre Development Forum. What excites me most about being an Artis Specialist is the impact that developing creative and performance skills can have on an individual’s everyday life. I am keen to equip children with skills that they can apply to many areas in their lives, and for many years to come through music, drama and dance.
Artis Foundation
Artis creates spaces for creative learning, nurturing creativity in every child. We are a joyful onomatopoeic charity with a superpower that connects buzzing creativity across the entire primary curriculum, so that children can unleash their full potential and bloom.
