Create and Sing with the Royal Opera and Ballet – (CPD)
Inspire creativity through music and drama with free award-winning teacher CPD, curriculum-based resources and live lessons for primary students.
- Teachers do not need any previous knowledge of opera in order to take part.
- Developed in collaboration with teachers to meet their needs and those of their students.
- Classroom-based lesson plans and digital activities, with strong Music and cross-curricular links.
- Enables students and teachers to gain a better understanding of singing and opera for pupils, unlocking their imagination and creativity.

Our Create & Sing CPD (KS1&2) combines singing and drama to build pupils’ self-expression, creative collaboration, performance confidence, voice, movement, and memory skills .

The Royal Opera and Ballet
The Royal Ballet and Opera’s National Schools’ Programme is called Create & Learn. Split into three disciplines – Create & Dance, Create & Sing, and Create & Design – the programme aims to inspire creativity in schools from Cornwall to Cumbria, build teachers’ confidence and embed cultural learning at the heart of the curriculum.
Last year saw over 900 schools engage with the work, providing training, events and resources created for teachers by teachers. The programme is completely free to state-funded schools.
