Empowering your music curriculum through creativity for learning – Paul Guenault, Director, Bucks Music Trust – (CPD)

CPD Session Short Summary:

Targeting KS3 but potentially useful for KS2 music teachers as well. A powerful mmusic curriculum depends upon a ‘whole education’ approach using elements of project-based learning. This means that it must be active and practical, focused on process more than product and integrate the key activities within each unit of work. Using the same approach (yes – you will need to take part!), Paul will demonstrate how to do this whatever your content and then take about how you build in cumulative understanding and by implication assessment through the key stage.

CPD Session Objectives or Learning Outcomes:

To gain a fuller understanding of curriculum planning and curriculum frameworks both at a unit level and a whole KS level
