Calibre Audio’s Inclusive Voices Short Story Competition
Launching on the 4th June 2026 to coincide with Empathy Day Festival and open until 13th September 2026.
Calibre Audio’s short story competition is back for National Year of Reading! This year’s competition coincides with the launch of Empathy Day Festival in June, so we are asking for stories or poems with characters or plot lines with empathy – the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Entries will be sent to our panel of judges and winners will be notified in October. There will be prizes for the top three entries in each age category.
The competition is FREE to enter and open to all ages. You need to fill in the entry form that will be on Calibre’s website on their dedicated National Year of Reading page from 4th June 2026 and attach your empathy story or poem which must be 550 words or less. You can submit your entry in written, audio or video format.
