Artist Sarah Harper was commissioned to work at Giffard Park Primary School to produce a mosaic to celebrate the schools 40th anniversary. Illustration workshops were held at the school and every child created a drawing with the theme being ‘Wildlife at the canal’. A large selection of the illustrations were picked and used within the design. Sarah worked at the school over several weeks working with all the children to complete the mosaic. The mosaics was installed and unveiled early this year with The Mayor of Milton Keynes there to do the unveiling. Sarah has worked on many projects with local school, and community groups.
