Theatre Tours: For School Years Reception to Year 13
Explore the state-of-the-art venue and discover the world of theatre. Tours cover both public and behind-the-scenes areas and can be tailored to suit different age groups, additional needs, and learning objectives (e.g. Shakespeare tours, interactive storytelling, technical tours).
Creative Workshops: For School Years 5 to 13
Engage with the theatre’s team of industry-leading practitioners in a range of exciting workshops. The team is eager to collaborate with you to create a workshop that aligns with your group’s interests, abilities, and cross-curricular objectives.
- Drama Focus: Acting, dance, set and costume design, technical skills, musical theatre, audition techniques, etc.
- Curriculum Focus: Shakespeare, class novels, poetry, drama skills, oracy & storytelling, scriptwriting, etc.
- Special Days: World Book Day, Black History Month, etc.
Mischief Workshops: For School Years 7 to 11
In collaboration with the creators of The Play That Goes Wrong, these workshops teach improvisation, comedic acting, and clowning skills. Workshops are tailored to age groups and curriculum requirements. Participants can enjoy a workshop and watch A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong on the same day!

Work in Theatre Course: For Ages 13 to 18
This 2-day course, which ran successfully in August, is for young people interested in backstage theatre careers. It includes an introduction to sound, lighting, technical skills, and theatre management.
Dates: 31 March – 1 April 2026.
Cost: £75 (bursary placements available).

Interactive Storytime Workshops: For Pre-School, Reception, Year 1 and 2
Embark on a magical adventure as you explore the theatre’s foyer spaces. Discover and create magical creatures, then participate in an interactive storytelling experience. These workshops can be adapted to specific themes, stories, and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) objectives.

Aylesbury Waterside Academy: Weekly after school Drama Sessions for Ages 8 to 11
Develop key drama skills through games, improvisation, devising, script work, and creative tasks. The sessions explore a range of spaces across the theatre venue.
Term time: Wednesdays, 16:00 – 17:30.
Cost: £100 per term.
Free taster session available. Late joiners pay less. Bursary placements available.
Inclusive Theatre Workshops
As an accessible venue, the Creative Learning team is eager to engage with special needs, inclusive, and neurodiverse groups interested in theatre projects.
