Developing young writers through talking, drawing and sharing
HFL Education’s ESSENTIAL WRITING for Early Years is a bespoke writing curriculum designed specifically for children in the EYFS. The programme brings adults and children together in early years settings to discuss, draw and write books which reflect the passions and experiences of their authors.
Created by experts within the Early Years and Primary English advisory teams at HFL as a precursor to our existing, successful, ESSENTIALWRITING programme, the unit plans are designed to be used within child-led and adult-inspired sessions, based on the understanding that the writing process involves talking, drawing, writing and sharing.
