Schools’ Matinees at the Royal Opera House – Applications Now Open

Give your pupils the opportunity to experience world-class opera, ballet and dance in one of the world’s most iconic theatres. Schools’ Matinees are specially designed for young audiences, with a welcoming, school-friendly atmosphere and productions selected to inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence. No prior experience is needed, making this an accessible introduction to live performance for both pupils and staff.
Primary-friendly productions include The Nutcracker, The Magic Flute, Swan Lake and The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Secondary opportunities include Carmen, Swan Lake and Madama Butterfly. English surtitles are provided for operas, and support is available for teachers planning visits.
Applications are now open via the Royal Ballet and Opera Schools Programme.
