On Thursday 26th June, Young Creative Bucks held its first Cultural Education CPD & Networking Conference at Buckinghamshire New University, bringing together educators and cultural practitioners from across Buckinghamshire and beyond. Attendees from primary, secondary, SEND and careers sectors came together for a packed day of professional development, creative inspiration and new connections.

The day featured a vibrant mix of keynote talks, short presentations, CPD sessions and networking opportunities. Highlights included practical creative careers CPD led by ERIC and Alison Grade, author of The Freelance Bible, as well as inspiring sessions from Aspire Alternative Provision and Signdance Collective. The timetable was carefully curated to keep energy high throughout the day, with attendees praising its pace, variety, and relevance.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive: “A great initiative, with a really good wide range of people with whom to share ideas and network.” Others described the event as “truly inspiring,” “seamless,” and “practical and engaging,” with many already following up with new contacts and collaborations sparked during the event.
